Conclusion

Conclusion (Gabriel Giovene) When going through this project, it is very important to remember that IS is extremely important for medical practitioners as much as it is for any other business. They have to have a strong security system, because when it comes to hackers or infiltrators they need to make sure that leaks do not happen, examples that can happen are customer info leaks or even some information on medication that is still in development. Going through this company's whole IS process it would be extremely difficult for them to operate without a strong IS system in place, they might even fail in the long run so this was interesting to learn about throughout the whole semester. The Information Systems (IS) that are utilized at the company ultimately assists the managers to make better informed decisions, to work efficiently and increase productivity. While there are some legacy systems that cause some minor communication issues, the company is equipped with process engine...

Recommendations

Recommendations (Gabriel Giovene) For Eli Lilly, I feel that one of the most important parts of being a business that Eli Lilly needs to start stepping into is the marketing landscape. We never really see a social media presence and also not much advertising for them. This all is an important part of being a business, and while researching them it shows that they neglect that aspect of the business. When monitoring their social media, you can see how underutilized it is with some posts going all the way back years ago. Some of their posts also consist of information that is not really relevant to what their business model is. Recommendations for improving this are staying more focused on the posts that you are tweeting/posting, make sure that it is informative and grabs the consumers attention. Need for engagement in social media platforms, what I mean by that is to have some posts that can get the readers involved, have people coming back to see what the news is and what advance...

Dynamic Process Analysis (Gabriel Giovene, Noe Ayala) A dynamic process is considered a collection of activities or tasks that without a predetermined sequence of execution. What this means is that it provides flexibility to data workers that can reference the process flow at the runtime based on the information available to the process. Another way that we can look at the dynamic process is that it involves frequent changes including adaptations, customer needs, and business goals. The dynamic business process that we have decided to do is the marketing process, which is defined as involving the changes that organizations make with your marketing approach and strategies, with this depending all on the customers behaviors. Staying on top of dynamic marketing can help you change your marketing activities when the customers show changes, and also give an organization the opportunity to increase their engagements and sales, which every company strives for. Which social media information s...

Structured Process Analysis

Structured Process Analysis (Carlos Paco) Structured processes are formally defined, standardized processes that involve day-to-day operations: accepting a return, placing an order, purchasing raw materials, and so forth. The structured business process we are focusing on is the batching process in the Buffer Preparation (BP) area. The main purpose of the Buffer Preparation Process is to batch various solution buffers to supply the Purification (PUR) batching process.  Buffer Preparation Batching Process Steps (Carlos Paco) BP and PUR production coordinators will meet, discuss, and plan for upcoming buffer solutions required for PUR’s batching process.  BP batch data (material code, description, batch size) are placed on a shared Excel Integrated scheduling spreadsheet by the BP coordinator several weeks prior to executing the batch.    After adding the BP solution batch data to the Integrated Schedule and using an assigned group chat via Teams the BP production...
